Welcome Kit B Ramp and Platform

Warranty Coverage

MobilityCo provides a 2-Year Parts and Labour Warranty on the Welcome Kit B Ramp and Platform from the date of delivery or installation (whichever is later).

This warranty covers:

• Structural defects in aluminium ramp sections
  
• Platform components
  
• Handrails and guardrails
  
• Fixings supplied as part of the original kit
  
• Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  
• Labour required to repair or replace defective components
  

If a covered defect arises within the warranty period, MobilityCo will, at its discretion:

• Repair the defective component, or
  
• Replace the defective component, or
  
• Supply replacement parts
  

at no charge for parts or labour.

What Is Covered

This warranty applies where:

• The ramp system has been installed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  
• The ramp is used for its intended purpose (pedestrian and mobility access).
  
• The ramp has not been modified or structurally altered.
  
• Weight limits have not been exceeded.
  

The warranty includes on-site labour for installations carried out by MobilityCo.

For supply-only orders, parts are covered; labour is limited to reasonable access and component replacement guidance unless otherwise agreed.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by incorrect installation by third parties
  
• Damage resulting from ground movement, subsidence, or inadequate base preparation
  
• Impact damage, misuse, abuse, or accidental damage
  
• Unauthorised alterations or modifications
  
• Corrosion or wear caused by environmental conditions (including coastal environments) beyond normal expected exposure
  
• Cosmetic wear, surface scratches, or natural weathering
  
• Routine maintenance or adjustment
  
• Damage caused by vehicles or powered machinery
  
• Issues resulting from failure to follow maintenance guidance
  

Normal wear and tear is not considered a defect.

Installation by Third Parties

Where installation is carried out by a third-party builder or contractor:

• MobilityCo warrants the product itself against manufacturing defects.
  
• MobilityCo is not responsible for installation errors, structural compliance, or building control approval.

It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure the ramp meets local regulatory requirements.

Weight Limits & Intended Use

The Welcome Kit B Ramp and Platform must:

• Be used within the manufacturer’s specified weight capacity.
  
• Be used strictly for pedestrian or mobility equipment access.
  
• Not be used for vehicles or heavy industrial loads.
  

Exceeding weight limits voids the warranty.

Making a Warranty Claim

To make a claim:

1. Contact MobilityCo in writing.
   
2. Provide photographs of the issue.
   
3. Provide proof of purchase and installation date.
   
4. Allow reasonable access for inspection if required.
   

MobilityCo reserves the right to inspect the ramp system before approving repair or replacement.

7Repair & Response Times

Warranty repairs will be scheduled within a reasonable timeframe, subject to:

• Parts availability
  
• Weather conditions (if external works are required)
  
• Access availability

Replacement parts supplied under warranty inherit the remainder of the original warranty period.

Transferability

This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not automatically transferable unless agreed in writing.

Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Delivery Information

Standard Delivery (Kerbside Delivery)

The Welcome Kit B Ramp and Platform is delivered via specialist pallet courier due to the size and weight of the system.

• Delivery is to kerbside only.
  
• The customer is responsible for ensuring safe access to the property.
  
• Someone aged 18+ must be present to accept delivery.
  
• Delivery vehicles may be large HGVs; please notify us in advance of any access restrictions.
  

Delivery timeframes are typically:

• 5–10 working days (subject to stock availability)
  
• We will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

Engineered Delivery & Installation (If Selected)

If you have selected our Engineered Delivery & Installation service:

• Our trained installation team will deliver and assemble the ramp system on site.
  
• Installation will be completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  
• A final handover and demonstration will be provided.
  
• The customer (or authorised representative) must be present during installation.
  

Please note:

• Installation does not include groundworks unless agreed in writing.
  
• The installation surface must be level, stable and suitable for ramp placement.

2. Inspection Upon Delivery

Upon receiving your ramp system, you must:

• Inspect all components before signing for delivery.
  
• Report any visible damage within 24 hours.
  
• Notify us immediately of missing parts.

Failure to report delivery damage within 24 hours may affect our ability to claim against the courier.

3. Returns Policy

Standard Consumer Returns (Distance Selling)

If the Welcome Kit B Ramp and Platform was purchased online or over the phone, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

To qualify for a return:

• The ramp must be in a pristine condition
  
• All original packaging must be intact, otherwise additional charges may apply.
  
• All components must be complete and undamaged.

Returns must be requested in writing within 14 days of delivery.

Important: Return Costs

Due to the size and specialist transport required:

• Return collection costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  
• A restocking fee of up to 20% may apply.
  
• Original delivery charges are non-refundable.

We will provide a quotation for collection if required.

4. Special Order Items

If your Welcome Kit B Ramp and Platform was:

• Made to specific measurements
  
• Custom configured
  
• Ordered specifically for your project

It may be classified as a bespoke or special order item, in which case cancellation rights may not apply once the order has been placed with the manufacturer.

This will be clearly confirmed prior to order submission.

5. Faulty or Damaged Goods

If your ramp system develops a fault:

• Please contact us immediately with photographs.
  
• We will assess under manufacturer warranty terms.
  
• Where appropriate, replacement components will be supplied.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

6. Refund Process

Approved refunds will be processed:

• Within 14 days of receiving returned goods.
  
• Via the original payment method.

Goods must be inspected before refund approval.

7. Responsibility & Compliance

It is the responsibility of the purchaser (or their builder/contractor) to ensure:

• The ramp system is appropriate for the intended environment.
  
• The installation complies with any local building control requirements.
  
• Ground preparation is suitable.
