About the Solo SafeSide Profiling Bed
Eliminate fall injuries with the incredibly low floor height of just 11cm and the mesh side rails, making the Solo Safeside ideal for residents with dementia. This reduces the need for side rails and makes the Solo an ideal profiling care bed for users who are prone to falling or rolling out of bed.
The Solo Safeside bed can be raised up to 73.5cm for delivering on bed nursing care and is also designed to allow for unrestricted hoist access.
The mesh side rails offer a softer form of safety to that of wooden side rails. The vision Panel allows the user to see out of the bed while the rails are up.
The Solo's advanced auto-regression profiling technology prevents stomach compression and enhances user comfort. The Solo can accommodate taller users with an additional 20cm of length with the Solo's integral length extension for optimum comfort (please speak to a member of our team for more detail).
The Anti-Trendelenburg feature provides postural support, enhanced comfort and helps respiration and circulation. Finally, the Solo collection features unrestricted clearance beneath the bed, this makes it much easier for hoist leg access for transfers.

Does this bed come with a mattress?
All the mattresses are sold separately due to each person having different pressure care needs and preferred firmness.
Can you have a handle or loop at the side of the bed to help the user get in and out?
If a handle or loop is needed at the side of the bed to assist with getting in and out then we can supply the bed with a grab rail which can fit on either side of the bed in the desired position.
Can the side rails be operated by the user in the bed?
The mesh side rails can only be operated by somebody outside of the bed, they can either be left in the drop down position to the side of the bed or in the raised position to prevent someone from falling out of bed.
Is this bed available in a double width?
The Solo SafeSide Profiling Bed is available in a Small Double width. However, it is not available any bigger and the reason for this is if the user requires on bed nursing by carers outside of the bed, this width would put a strain on the carers backs having to reach over.
