Does the Signature Bed come with a mattress?
No, all our mattresses are sold separately due to each person having different pressure care needs and preferred firmness.
Does this bed come with side rails?
Yes, the Signature Profiling Bed comes with the option of having full-length wooden side rails either side of the bed, to add an extra level of user safety.
What happens to my bed in the event of a power cu?
In the event of a power cut, the profiling beds have a 29v battery back-up which has enough power to get the bed back into a flat position.
Can you have a handle or loop at the side of the bed to help get in and out?
If a handle or loop is needed at the side of the bed to assist with getting in and out then we can supply the bed with a grab rail which can fit on either side of the bed in the desired position.
Can side rails be operated by the user in the bed?
The wooden side rails can only be operated by somebody outside of the bed, they can either be left in the drop down position to the side of the bed or in the raised position to prevent someone from falling out of bed.
Is this bed available in a double width?
The Signature Profiling is not available in a double width. The reason for this is if the user requires on bed nursing by carers outside of the bed, this width would put a strain on the carers backs having to reach over.
